Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL)

The Alberta Federation of Labour represents 107,000 Alberta union members from approximately 250 locals drawn from 40 different unions. The AFL’s mandate is to defend and expand workers’ rights in the workplace and fight for social justice for all workers.

British Columbia Federation of Labour (BCFED)

The “BC Fed” represents 450,000 members of affiliated unions in more than 1,100 locals, working in every aspect of the B.C. economy.

Canadian Labour Congress (CLC), National Labour Body

The Canadian Labour Congress is the largest democratic and popular organization in Canada with over three million members.  The Canadian Labour Congress brings together Canada’s national and international unions, the provincial and territorial federations of labour and 130 district labour councils.

Congress of Union Retirees of Canada

Affiliated to the CLC, the CURC is a national inter-generational, voluntary organization which acts as an advocacy organization to ensure that the concerns of senior citizens are heard. 

Federation des travailleurs et travailleuses du Quebec (FTQ/QFL)

The Quebec Federation of Labour represents over 500,000 workers in the province of Quebec. Site primarily in French with some English papers.

Manitoba Federation of Labour (MFL)

The Manitoba Federation of Labour is made up of more than 35 unions who represent working women and men in both the public and private sectors, in industrial settings and offices, in manufacturing and services, in retail and resource-based industries - in virtually every kind of workplace.

New Brunswick Federation of Labour

The New Brunswick Federation of Labour is labour’s central voice in New Brunswick.  The NBFL invites workers to join together to ensure a fair workplace by bargaining collectively:  wages & benefits, pensions, health & safety rules, hours of work and working conditions.

Newfoundland & Labrador Federation of Labour

The Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Labour represents a membership of approximately 50,000 working men and women in 25 affiliated unions.

Northern Territories Federation of Labour (NWT and Nunavut)

The Northern Territories Federation of Labour represents 8,000 affiliates throughout the NWT and Nunavut. 

Nova Scotia Federation of Labour (NSFL)

The Nova Scotia Federation of Labour is a provincial umbrella organization committed to the principle of advancing the social and economic well-being of the workers of Nova Scotia, as well as attempting to secure legislative change which will safeguard and promote the principles of free collective bargaining, the rights of workers, human rights and the security and welfare of all people.

Prince Edward Island Federation of Labour (PEIFL)

The Prince Edward Island Federation of Labour is mandated to organize and unite all workers, to promote social change and better workers’ rights.

Saskatchewan Federation of Labour (SFL)

The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour represents over 80,000 members, from 32 national and international unions with an affiliate membership belonging to over 700 locals throughout the province. The SFL supports the principles of social unionism and struggles for social and economic justice for all.

Yukon Federation of Labour (YFL)

The Yukon Federation of Labour has 3,300 members from 23 local employee organizations.  The Yukon Federation of Labour is made up of public and private sector employee organizations, including such areas as government employees, mining, transportation, fire fighters, broadcasting, industrial, construction and service employees etc.
