Ontario Budget’s missed opportunity will mean more missed mortgage payments for Ontarians, says OFL

(TORONTO) -- Today’s budget falls short of the coherent plan that Ontario workers facing job losses needed. The budget’s spending could have been much wiser and provided more value for money.

ONTARIO FEDERATION OF LABOUR STATEMENT: STRUGGLES AGAINST RACISM ARE NOT OVER

(TORONTO) -- The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed annually on March 21st. In 1960 on that day in Sharpeville, South Africa police opened fire and killed 69 people at a peaceful demonstration against the apartheid “pass laws”. Proclaiming the Day in 1966, the General Assembly called on the international community to redouble its efforts to eliminate all forms of racial discrimination.
