(TORONTO) -- The Ontario Federation of Labour’s Drive To Work Caravan will be heading south from Sudbury on June 15th to Brampton. The province-wide tour has already talked to thousands of people across Ontario since it launched on June 8th and gathered their stories, ideas, letters, and videos along the way. “We will take the messages from all these people and communities to the Premier,” said OFL president Wayne Samuelson.

The OFL, affiliated unions and community allies have joined together on the Drive to Work Caravan as it travels to over 50 cities and towns from June 8 – 25th. “We want people to have their say. It’s time the real stories behind the statistics are heard – not just the numbers,” Samuelson said.

The 3,000 km tour is to find out how the recession is really affecting people and listen to what they have to say on the need to preserve and create good jobs and maintain strong public services for healthy communities.

The Caravan arrives in Brampton at 4:00 p.m., June 15 and gathers at Chinquacousy Park, 9050 Bramalea Road, Brampton for events including a Speaker’s Corner, entertainment, BBQ.
